I remember making pizza from scratch with my grandmother growing up…It always tasted so much better than take out! But these days I barely have enough time to prep a meal plan let alone cut veggies and prep pizzas in the kitchen with my own kids…Maybe I should get nani to help out….great idea, babysitting and dinner made all at once, brilliant! But I digress.

There are so many benefits to making pizza at home but sometimes you just need a faster way to get it from oven to the table.  Pataks Canada has some great ways to ‘mix in a little India’ into those pizza nights with these 3 great pizza recipes!

Check them out and tell us which one you liked best!

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh tomato pasta sauce
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Patak’s Mild Curry Paste
  • 4 oz (115g) fresh mozzarella ball
  • 8 oz (225g) raw peeled white shrimp
  • 10 fresh cilantro leaves

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Place 2 pieces of naan bread on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the tomato sauce and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of Patakís Curry Paste. Spread sauce evenly over the naan bread.
  3. Slice the mozzarella ball in half and then into º inch thick slices. Layer the cheese over the curried tomato sauce.
  4. In another bowl, toss the remaining 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Patakís Curry Paste with the raw shrimp. Spread the curried shrimp evenly over both pizzas.
  5. Bake the pizzas until the cheese is melted and the shrimp are pink, cooked and firm, about 15 minutes.
  6. Tear the fresh cilantro leaves and sprinkle over the baked pizzas.

Great pizza ideas. We make pizza using Patak’s Bringal as the base, then put sliced green peppers, red peppers, onions, tandoori chicken and cheese all on a naan. Bake and serve, delicious!
