Speaking about his collection, Manish said, “‘Reflections’, my festive collection for this season, is high on colour and on new silhouettes, while it plays with the concept of lightness of being with celebration in mind.

To me, a festive occasion is a wonderful blend of tradition, culture, rituals, colours, and intensity of emotions. Time-honoured practices come together with special occasions and new traditions to create happy times. It is this melding of the old and the new that has inspired ‘Reflections’.”

The primary influences are from Rajasthan and Kutch – the mirror work, traditional colour blocking and a palette of deep green, dark beige, and mustard, which are all characteristic of these regions. The collection also features textured silks, youthful bright colours, saturated hues, and Manish’s signature thread-work and custom-created zari work from Kashmir. Karishma Kapoor, Manish Malhotra and Shabana Azmi

‘Reflections’, therefore, marries the best of India’s sartorial heritage, with youth, and sparkle. Manish Malhotra has created a trendsetting new silhouette – the ghagra pant, which is a fusion of the sharara and the classic pant. This new creation is a fun and very stylish alternative to the lehenga. Manish has also reinterpreted the traditional Rajasthani koti silhouette to create a koti top, which can be worn with saris, or ghagras

This inventive and vivacious collection by Manish Malhotra offers several options for a bride and her entourage to choose from, for pre-wedding ceremonies and festivities.
