Angie is strong advocate for women’s rights, children’s rights and the fight against domestic violence. She is currently working on a two year project with the South Asian Women’s Centre titled, There is No Honor in Violence Against Women and Girls
She has won several awards including the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for her work as a journalist and contributions in the community.

Angie is a long distance runner and has participated in five marathons, including the Boston marathon in 1999. She also coached individuals looking to run their first 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and marathon. Angie lives in Toronto with her husband and three children.
