Father’s Day Gift Ideas for the Dad who has Everything and Wants Nothing
Buying a gift for dad can seem pretty daunting. I know my dad has literally everything he could need no thanks to the many cousins and siblings and gifts he gets for birthdays. As South Asians, we often hear from our elders, “kuch ni” (nothing) when we ask ‘what do you want for a gift dad?’ As much as we hate that answer, we can’t just get moms all the gifts we do and then forget about dad!
Sears Canada has recently revamped their Private Label offerings and we want Dad to get the most out of these great items. With summer right around the corner, you can’t go wrong with chino shorts, linen shirts, pima cotton tees and canvas shoes. And don’t forget an amazing pair of headphones for the active dad or a compact wireless speaker to keep dad grooving all summer long! The best part? It’s easy on your wallet too!
So what do you get a dad who has everything?
Here are some tips I try to follow:
- Choose an everyday use kind of gift: This could be daily clothing needs. Here are some great buys that won’t blow any budget and can be bundled in great gift boxes.
2. Choose something to make his life easier:
Nothing like comfy shoes for gatherings, casual affairs where he may not choose his most comfy shoe. Or a great pair of headphones for those musical breaks he may love.
3. Choose something you know he would never buy for himself.
Sears Canada has a great selection of electronics for every guy’s needs. These are some great ideas for the dad that loves to listen to his gazals on his deck or in his kitchen, bollywood music or South Asian shows on TV:
Bluetooth Clip-on Speaker– $14.99
Choose something that can help him entertain!
That’s always a good one because if you’ve got a dad like mine, you know us South Asians love to have people over, impress and bring the family together —as often as possible. BBQs can be so much easier when you have everything you need to entertain OUTSIDE. Like a big cooler! This one form Sears Canada won’t break the bank
Canada Day 150 Cooler– $69.97
