Masalamommas Giveaway!

Bite Bar, Toronto’s premiere bite-sized dessert bar, is offering South Asian food lovers the latest fusion on traditional Indian sweets, right in time for the Diwali holiday.  Inspired by the traditional box of mithai (south Asian sweets made with sugar, milk and condensed milk gifted at special occasions), Bite Bar’s Diwali themed Bite Box infuses traditional Indian flavours into gourmet bite sized cupcakes providing dessert lovers a blend of flavours and textures that are both traditional and trendy.

“First generation Indo- Canadians continue to change the ways that they celebrate traditional Indian holidays and food is one of the first things that change,” says Nisha Amin-Agnihotri, founder, Bite Bar.  “The younger generation still loves familiar foods and flavours from their childhoods but they’re also looking for a fusion that aligns with their modern lifestyles.

With family, friends and colleagues that are from various ethnic backgrounds, flavour familiarity is key.  Bite Bar ’s Diwali desserts in six Indian flavours combine familiar dessert flavours in bite sized cupcakes”.

Now available to order, The Bite Bar Diwali Bite Box offers six South-Asian flavours available for order.

What you need to do:  Email your name (first and last) with subject  “I Bite This Diwali’  and to info@bitebar.ca before midnight on Thursday October 31.  You must be a GTA resident to win. Winners will be randomly chosen by BiteBar and pickups must take place at Bite Bar at 57 Elm Street, Toronto, by Saturday Nov 2 before closing.

Bite Bar’s Diwali Bi Box is also a healthier option for those looking to manage caloric intake during the holiday celebrations.  Traditional Indian sweets are often heavy on the calorie count ranging from 150 to 400 calories[1].  In comparison, Bite Bar’s bites tally 40-80 calories and the wrapper free bites can effortlessly be popped into your mouth without any cutlery, mess or fuss.

More than just a storefront, Bite bar is a full-scale dessert and cocktail bar is located at 57 Elm Street in downtown Toronto on the corner of Bay and Elm.  Bite Bar’s tasty treats menu includes gourmet bite sized cupcakes, marshmallow bars, and mini cheesecakes and new flavours are often added for special holidays such as Diwali and Christmas.

Half the calories and all the flavour? Now that’s cause for celebration.
